The 50 years of the mini was celebrated on Sunday morning by filling the Italianate terraces of Crystal Palace Park with minis, as the start of the annual London to Brighton mini rally kicked off. This year an attempt was made to get into Guiness Book of Records with 2 mile long moving queue of minis. In total, over 2,000 minis joined forces to help clog up the A23 to 8righton. The mayor of Bromley was there to meet some of the mini enthusiats who had travelled from all over the globe, and to explain to them why the park was so dilapidated.
