
The Queen's Hotel in Church Road, Crystal Palace was the venue for a rally in support of the picture palace campaign, the local group spearheading the support for a cinema in the area.
An audience of local residents audience packed the basement hall to hear rousing speeches from members of the campaign group, local politicians and clergy and a representative of City Screen Limited, one of the independent cinema companies interested in establishing a venue locally.
